J. Claire
J. Claire, known as the “Poet of the Wild,” is an award-winning poet and author of Revelry. Born in Pennsylvania and shaped by life on both coasts, she began writing poetry as a teen, fusing lyrical and visual tradition with a bold, contemporary voice. Her work explores the raw terrain of love, loss, healing, and the quiet revelations found in nature and stillness. In June 2025, Revelry won two American Fiction Awards for Narrative and Nature Poetry and was a finalist in two additional poetry categories. That same month, she opened the Word is Art showcase at the Columbus Arts Festival and was recently named a Distinguished Favorite in the category of Poetry: Journeys, Memory, and the Self by the NYC Big Book Awards. An ultramarathoner, traveler, and explorer, her poetry reflects a life lived in motion and in wonder—always chasing beauty, always returning to the wild.
