Acrylic Painting: Thin to Thick Technique -May
Abstract Depth: Creating Fun Textures with Thin to Thick Acrylics
Spend a full day exploring texture and contrast in Acrylic Painting: Thin to Thick Technique, an all day abstract painting workshop at Tri Arts Project in Castle Rock. Open to beginner to intermediate artists ages sixteen and up, this class focuses on using thin and thick acrylic applications to create depth and dimension.
Instructor Erma Jean Woodis demonstrates how fluid acrylic paints and acrylic gels work together to produce a wide range of visual effects. You will learn how thin layers can create soft, watercolor like passages while thicker applications build bold texture and structure. The workshop balances demonstration with guided practice, allowing you to experiment while completing a finished abstract painting. All supplies are included.
