Before Writing Your Book

The Author’s Roadmap: Planning Your Manuscript Before You Write

Do you have an idea for a book but feel unsure how to begin? This Before Writing Your Book workshop at Tri Arts Project in Castle Rock is designed for adults ages eighteen and up who want clarity, structure, and a realistic plan before starting a writing project.

Instructor Julie Cordova helps you define what kind of book you are writing and how to approach it with intention. Whether your idea leans toward memoir, nonfiction, or poetry, you will learn how to set up your project correctly from the start. The workshop introduces key planning milestones that make drafting easier, more focused, and far less frustrating. Beginning with a strong plan increases the likelihood of finishing your first draft successfully.
