Spring Printmaking: Gel Plate Monoprinting for Beginners
Looking for a fresh way to loosen up your creative practice this spring 2026? Monoprinting and Mark Making at Tri Arts Project in Castle Rock offers an approachable introduction to gel plate printmaking. Open to adults and teens ages sixteen and up, this beginner friendly workshop blends painting, drawing, and printmaking into a process that feels both playful and rewarding.
Instructor Lisa MacKenzie guides you step by step through working with the gel plate. You will learn how to apply and lift color to create single layer prints and then build complexity through multi layer techniques. Mark making tools are introduced to add texture, movement, and areas of focus. You will leave with a series of finished monoprints and a strong understanding of the process. All supplies are included.
