Lisa Faherty

Lisa has loved making art since childhood and now paints primarily in soft pastels and oils to celebrate Colorado’s magnificent landscapes. She has studied with several American pastel and oil painters. Lisa guides students step-by-step as they learn about pastel painting techniques, composition, value, shape, and expressive color. She also teaches gelli mono-printing—an unpredictable and, some say, addictive process that invites play and creative discovery. Whether teaching painting or printing, Lisa fosters a warm and welcoming studio environment where students are encouraged to explore and experiment, gain confidence, and discover their own joyful artistry in the creative process.
