Terri Lewis’ stories have appeared in Denver Quarterly and Chicago Quarterly Review among others. Accepted to the Sewanee Writers’ Conference, she has taken advanced workshops with Jill McCorkle and Rebecca Makkai.
Her debut novel, "Behold the Bird in Flight," was published by She Writes Press and she won the Miami University Press Novella Prize for "When They Came Home," out May ‘26.
She reviews for The Washington Independent Review of Books. Her first career was as a ballet dancer in the U.S. and Germany, and she now lives with her husband and two lively dogs in Denver, Colorado.
At Tri Arts Project, Terri teaches fiction and story craft, helping writers develop voice, structure and confidence in their work.
