Vanessa Antonsen

Vanessa, owner of V and A Creations in Castle Rock, has been making since early childhood and hand crafted a book at age 7 with found items.

Paper crafting was always part of her life, she again fell in love with it after moving to Colorado and looking for a community. She found the paper crafting world and discovered paper has so many ways to be used and expressed. An example, participating in the Denver Paper Fashion Show, this was a highlight of creative curiosity, designing and making a dress 90% paper to be worn by a model on the runway.

She is inspired daily by the beauty of colors everywhere, in nature and everyday products. Meeting so many creative people in Colorado added to the desire to re-explore the world of art and crafting.

Finally figuring she had the ability to teach and share that creative love with others was the topper of the dreamy creative cake! She designs and teaches in her Craft co-working office in Riverwalk.

A favorite quote that can relate to all things and keep curiosity alive, is by Beverly Sills “You may be disappointed if you fail but you are doomed if you don’t try” Therefore having and participating with a curious consideration, especially creatively, is her ideal for a tool to a happy, fun life.

At Tri Arts Project, Vanessa teaches paper crafting and card making in our classes, guiding students through layering, framing and embellishing techniques.
