Biography
Jay Norris is an acrylic painting artist from Castle Rock, Colorado. She grew up in the intermountain west and loves skiing, hiking, and photography. She began painting shortly after she moved to Colorado and studied under the instruction of Michael Carroll, internationally known artist from Littleton/Parker, Colorado. She has also attended art courses at Arapahoe Community College, and the University of Utah. Most recently she took intensive short term courses in Florence, Italy, at the Accademia Riaci, and the Leonardo da Vinci Art School.
Much of her work celebrates the beauty, people, and lifestyle of Colorado. Jay has been invited to participate in local, national, and international exhibits as well as several Colorado art festivals.
Jay graduated with a BA in Elementary Education, and enjoys teaching children and adults. She has taught private and group lessons in the United States and abroad.
