Material Diaries: Sketch with Mini-Sculptures - March
Sculpture as Sketching: Found Object Art and Assemblage Workshop
Transform everyday objects into meaningful works of art in this hands on Material Diaries workshop at Tri Arts Project in Castle Rock. This two week class invites artists ages sixteen and up to explore sculpture as a form of sketching, using simple materials to capture ideas, memories, and actions in three dimensional form.
Instructor Aspen Crawford guides participants through a playful and exploratory process using discarded and everyday materials as creative building blocks. You will create small, fast sculptural works that function like visual diary entries, focusing on experimentation rather than perfection. The workshop encourages curiosity, creative risk, and new ways of thinking about materials. All core supplies are included.
