Celebrate the Harvest in Watercolor: Paint Something Colorful This Fall

Celebrate the beauty of the harvest in watercolor! Simple Watercolor Painting: Harvest Roots at Tri Arts Project invites adults and teens (Ages 16+) to paint a warm, seasonal arrangement of carrots and beets. Led by instructor Raelene Vining, this beginner-friendly class explores rich color, texture, and soft shadow — blending warm and cool tones while keeping the composition loose and painterly. All supplies included!

Open to all levels, this single Saturday morning session runs 2.5 hours. All art supplies are provided — bring an optional apron.

What You'll Paint in This Harvest Watercolor Class

  • Wet-on-Wet & Wet-on-Dry Techniques: Apply these essential watercolor approaches to create soft background blends and defined vegetable edges in your harvest painting.
  • Color, Texture & Shadow: Balance warm and cool tones and practice soft shadow techniques to give your painted root vegetables depth and seasonal character.
