Stop Motion Fall Camp - Beginner-Intermediate

Draw, Animate, and Film: A Full Week of Stop Motion Camp This October

Bring your stories to life through stop motion! Stop Motion Fall Camp: Beginner–Intermediate at Tri Arts Project is a week-long creative camp for youth ages 8–17. Led by instructor Darien Russell, campers explore hand-drawn cartoon storytelling alongside stop motion filmmaking using professional digital tools. Using Procreate and Procreate Dreams, students develop original characters, create backgrounds, and produce their own expressive story-driven projects throughout the week. All supplies included!

Designed for beginners, this Monday–Friday camp runs October 12–16. All iPads, software, and course materials are provided — students bring their lunch each day.

What Campers Will Build This Week

  • Digital Stop Motion Tools: Use digital arts tools to plan stop motion scenes, design environments, and build simple sets that bring your story world to life.
  • Short Film Development: Develop a short stop motion project through collaborative creative storytelling exercises and hands-on production throughout the week.
