Strum your way into music with the ukulele! Ukulele: Beginner–Intermediate at Tri Arts Project is a fun 6-week course for teens and adults (Ages 15+) taught through joyful song-based learning. Led by instructor Greg Johnson, participants learn the ukulele from basic chords and strumming techniques all the way through more intermediate playing skills — in a small-group, supportive environment open to new and returning students alike.
Suitable for beginners through intermediates, this 6-session Tuesday evening course runs September 1 through October 6. Students must bring their own ukulele — no other supplies required.
What You'll Learn in This Ukulele Course
- Ukulele Tuning: Practice tuning your ukulele correctly so every playing session starts on the right note.
- Chords & Strumming: Demonstrate strumming patterns and various foundational chords used to play a wide range of songs on the ukulele.
- Reading Tablature: Discuss ukulele tablature so you can read and learn new songs on your own, expanding your musical repertoire independently.
