Creativity and Healthy Aging Event

Douglas County Seniors’ Council and Healthy Aging is hosting a “Creativity and Healthy Aging” event on September 24, 2026, from 1:30 – 4:00 pm at the Philip and Jerry Miller Library, 100 South Wilcox Street in Castle Rock.

The event is designed to educate older adults about the health benefits of being creative as we age, and include a presentation and features a variety of local artists who are 55+ to inspire others to engage in the joy of creative expression.

Artist Participation Application

Are you interested in participating as a senior artist? (must be 55+ years of age)  Seniors’ Council is looking for artists to display their creative works and share their stories with attendees at a designated table. 

Interested artists should submit their completed applications to scdc.ardc@gmail.com by Friday, July 16, 2026. Each application must include a photo, video, weblink, or audio recording of an example of the artist’s work. All applications will be reviewed by the Seniors’ Council’s Leadership Team and applicants will be notified via email of the status of their acceptance. You may submit the application by one of two methods:

  1. Download and complete the form, then email the completed form and all requirements to scdc.ardc@gmail.com
  2. Follow the virtual form instructions:  Download and open the form via Acrobat. Complete the interactive PDF on page two. – MAKE SURE THE FILE IS OPEN IN ACROBAT (not just your web browser) Complete and hit the Submit button, and it will email directly to scdc.ardc@gmail.com
