It’s a Date! Tri Arts Project Grand Opening Celebration Scheduled for September 12

Castle Rock’s Art Scene Transformed: Tri Arts Project Launches First-Ever Art Center with Grand Opening Celebration

Castle Rock, CO – August 23, 2024 – The moment Castle Rock has been eagerly awaiting has finally arrived! Tri Arts Project (TAP), in partnership with the Town of Castle Rock, is proud to unveil the town’s very first dedicated art center, situated in the historic Cantril School Building. Following an exhilarating year of renovation, this landmark will officially open its doors with a ribbon cutting and open house celebration on Thursday, September 12, from 6 to 8 p.m.

The Cantril School Building, a cherished local icon acquired by the Town of Castle Rock in 2023, is set to become the new cultural heartbeat of the region. With Castle Rock being the largest population center outside the Denver-metro area, the absence of an arts center has long been felt. TAP has been a passionate advocate for this creative hub since its founding in 2022. After two years of dedicated efforts and collaboration with the Town of Castle Rock, this vision has finally come to life. The newly renovated Cantril School will now serve as a vibrant space for art education, creation, and exhibition, offering an expansive range of artistic disciplines from cooking and crafting to digital arts, drawing, and more, for individuals aged 16 and up.

“We are beyond thrilled to open this incredible new space,” said Dana Frazee, President of TAP. “The support from the Town of Castle Rock and our community has been instrumental in bringing this vision to fruition. The Cantril School Building is not just a venue; it’s a symbol of what we can achieve together, and we can’t wait to see it become a cornerstone of artistic expression in Castle Rock.”

Beginning this September, TAP will roll out a diverse array of classes, workshops, and exhibitions designed to spark creativity and foster artistic growth. The center will feature top-notch instructors and engaging programs that cater to all levels of experience.

“This grand opening represents more than just the launch of a new space; it’s a celebration of cultural enrichment and community spirit,” Frazee added. “We warmly invite the public, media, and art lovers to join us in this landmark event and discover the exciting opportunities our new home will offer.”
