About the Book:

The Elixir of the Queen

“No!” Trulian screamed, ripping the hood from her head as she spun around. The blue of her eyes still whirled from traveling back to her present as she glared at the gray-haired man watching from the darkest shadows of the training room. “He still can’t see me.”

“It will come,” Droweht said, stepping forward. He occupied the ever-shifting space between the thin line where shadow and candlelight kissed, never letting the light wash over him.

Trulian slammed her palm onto the small table beside the candle; the shadows quaked, yet his expression remained stoic. That calm confidence used to center her, but now it made her blood boil. Everything changed the day the Green Willow Guard left for training, the day her vision hurled her into her sister’s future. Seeing the world through Shylah’s eyes stripped away every illusion of control Trulian had ever clung to.

“You’ve said that for the last four months. I need to learn faster. He has to know.” Trulian clenched her cloak over her heart. As the memory of Shylah’s wrist twisting beneath Apollyon’s grip, pain screaming through Trulian’s own bones. That vision would become her sister’s present if Trulian failed to master her ability.
