Anjie Newell

After retiring early, Anjie sought a creative outlet despite feeling she lacked artistic ability. Her journey began with hand-dyeing silk scarves, experimenting with adult coloring books, gardening, baking, and eventually discovering fluid art and neurographic art. These techniques revealed her ability to create captivating works with minimal traditional art skills. Over the years, Anjie has taught classes at local businesses and sold several pieces. She enjoys exploring diverse surfaces for her pours, including canvas, wood, vases, birdhouses, and even a roadside hubcap. Neurographic art, with its free-flowing “scribbles,” offers her a sense of relaxation and creativity. Sharing these joyful techniques with others has become her passion.
