Aubrey is a reluctant, underpaid intern at the Denver City Library and quickly realizes that she doesn’t fit in with her work colleagues. Feeling lonely and isolated, she starts up a romance with a young man who is not as charming as he initially appears to be. When Aubrey’s magical powers manifest unexpectedly, throwing her life further into chaos, she seeks support from Vivid who becomes an unlikely ally.
The two embark on an adventure to New Mexico where they hope to meet a magic healer, also known as a dreamweaver. After arriving at the dreamweaver’s mystical ranch, they eventually learn the truth of their magical powers and begin to heal from the darkness of their pasts through the bonds of friendship and supportive mentorship.
