Pose, Snap, Animate: Learn the Craft of Stop Motion
Jump into the world of stop motion! Intro to Stop Motion Animation at Tri Arts Project is a dynamic single-session class for ages 14+ that introduces the craft of posing characters, framing shots, and capturing animation frame by frame. Led by instructor Darien Russell, students use provided iPads with Stop Motion Studio Pro and Stickybones characters to build their own animated sequences. No prior experience needed!
Designed for beginners, this single Sunday afternoon session runs 4 hours. All iPads, software, and course materials are provided — no personal supplies needed.
What You'll Create in This Stop Motion Class
- Digital Animation Tools: Practice using Stop Motion Studio Pro on a provided iPad to capture, organize, and review your frame-by-frame sequences.
- Character Posing & Cinematography: Learn to pose Stickybones characters expressively and apply basic cinematography to frame each shot with intention.
