Pose, Shoot, Animate: Learn Stop Motion Filmmaking
Discover the magic of stop motion filmmaking! Intro to Stop Motion Animation at Tri Arts Project is an exciting 2-session class for ages 14+ that dives into the craft of posing characters, framing shots, and capturing every frame. Led by instructor Darien Russell, students use provided iPads with Stop Motion Studio Pro and Stickybones characters to create their own animated sequences. No prior experience needed — just bring your imagination!
Designed for beginners, this 2-session Saturday course runs August 22 and 29. All iPads, software, and course materials are provided — no supplies needed.
What You'll Create in This Stop Motion Class
- Digital Tools for Animation: Practice using Stop Motion Studio Pro on a provided iPad to capture and compile your stop motion sequences.
- Character Posing & Cinematography: Learn to pose Stickybones characters expressively and apply basic cinematography principles to frame your shots effectively.
