Fall in love with succulents — in watercolor! Simple Watercolor Painting: Succulent Study at Tri Arts Project invites adults and teens (Ages 16+) to create a close-up watercolor painting of a succulent, exploring layered petals and luminous color transitions. Led by instructor Raelene Vining, this all-levels class builds depth through value shifts and subtle highlights while keeping edges soft and painterly. All supplies included!
Open to all levels, this single Wednesday afternoon session runs 2.5 hours. All art supplies are provided — bring an optional apron.
What You'll Paint in This Succulent Watercolor Class
- Wet-on-Wet & Wet-on-Dry Techniques: Apply these foundational watercolor methods to build soft, luminous color transitions and defined petal edges throughout your succulent study.
- Depth & Dimension: Practice layering color and balancing light and dark values to give your painted succulent a convincing sense of form, volume, and depth.
