Kathy Lechman

Kathy is an intuitive mixed media abstract artist. She uses acrylic paints, charcoal, pastels, markers, pencils, watercolor and inks to express herself on canvas and paper. She finds mixed media an amazing way to bring texture, color, shapes to a painting.

What drives her to create is as mysterious as it is fascinating to her. She just knows that it has to be done. Her need to create has led her to learn several forms of art; painting, silversmithing, sculpting, stained glass lamps, fused glass landscape wall art and mono printing to name a few. Kathy always has a desire to learn new ways of creating art.

Being an artist has led Kathy to help establish a small gallery, put on workshops, coordinate exhibits for other artists and a board member for a local artist co-op. She has met many artists who have taught and inspired her to keep creating her art.
