Leslie Barstad

Leslie Barstad is a life-long learner, and lover of all things beautiful: art, craftsmanship, nature, music, literature, animals, and babies! She has taken art classes in high school and college, but was mostly self-taught until covid when she took classes, such as calligraphy, online. She juggled creative work with raising a large family, home schooling her children, and working at Castle Rock animal hospitals. She has explored many styles of calligraphy, pysanky (Ukrainian egg decorating), sewing, botanical art, as well as making candles, soaps, priests’s vestments, and oodles of costumes over the years! Calligraphy has been her main artistic focus recently, mostly through private commissions for schools, businesses, and individuals. She loves sharing what she has learned, and connecting with people seeking beauty and acquiring new skills.
