Rebbecca MacIntyre
Rebbecca MacIntyre, a Navy brat, was born in Long Beach California. The family transplanted to Colorado, where she grew roots. Attending Ft. Lewis College in Durango Colorado, she earned a B.A. in history with a minor in vocal music performance. (A lyric soprano, qualifying her to be a diva) While traveling in England twenty (more like 30) years ago, her husband said, “why don’t you write these stories down?” And off she went, writing fiction. A certified (or certifiable) Anglophile, she lives in metro Denver with her husband and their 1960 MG A and 1952 MG TD Mark II. Her favorite things are traveling with their friends in their Little British Cars and exploring new places in their motorhome, Horatio. When not writing, she reads, sings, tastes wine, cooks, and pretends to garden.
About the Book:
How to Enlighten a Rake
It’s 1828, Rafe Deveraux is a wealthy scion of one of the great families of England, unwed and intends to stay that way. He has bedded an impressive number of women, tarried hours drinking and gambling in gentlemen’s clubs, yet has avoided drunken brawls, duels, and financial ruin. He is a rake’s rake, (though no one would say that to his face) expecting his every wish fulfilled. There is nothing more he could desire, except perhaps a new mistress. He pursues the celebrated and beautiful opera singer, Cecily, despite her apparent disinterest, only to find himself distracted by her overly educated, opinionated, housemate, Ivy Robinson. Ivy has a vocabulary exceeding even his own, and makes a living (independently!) as a writer. Even worse, she has a deep aversion to haughty, gorgeous, wealthy men. Rafe is confused and frankly captivated by this most unlikely woman, as she challenges everything he thought he knew about himself, and women.
