Beginning Drawing: Foundations
From Shapes to Shading: Build SOlid Foundational Drawing Skills at Tri Arts Project
Start your drawing journey with confidence! Beginning Drawing: Foundations at Tri Arts Project is a structured 4-week course for adults (Ages 16+) new to drawing. Instructor Pam Walters leads students through careful observation of form using graphite pencils — exploring line, shading, and light to transform simple geometric shapes into convincing three-dimensional objects. Students finish the course with a polished graphite piece they created themselves. All supplies provided!
This beginner course runs 4 Tuesday sessions from August 4 through 25. All art supplies are included — bring an optional apron or clothing that can get dirty.
What You'll Master in This Drawing Foundations Course

- Light, Texture & Realism: Analyze and depict the effects of light source, texture, and surface qualities to elevate realism throughout your finished artwork.
