Bold Color, Expressive Brushstrokes: Paint a Fun Pet Portrait in Acrylics
Create a bold and expressive portrait of your favorite pet! Pet Portraits Acrylic Painting at Tri Arts Project is a 2-session class for adults (Ages 16+) that challenges you to rethink color and use bold brushwork to capture the light, shadow, and personality of your animal subject. Led by instructor Karen Defrates, this all-levels class provides all supplies — students bring a photo of their pet and a black-and-white copy for reference.
Open to all levels, this 2-session Wednesday evening course runs October 21 and 28. All supplies are included — just provide a photo of your pet, an 8.5"×11" black-and-white copy of the photo, and clothes that may get stained.
What You'll Create in This Pet Portrait Class
- Bold Color Decisions: Experiment with expressive, non-literal color choices to convey the energy, mood, and character of your animal subject.
- Animal Painting Techniques: Practice the techniques and color skills developed in class to complete a finished, vibrant acrylic portrait of your beloved pet or chosen animal.
