Pet Portraits Acrylic Painting - Beginner Sept.

Paint your beloved pet in bold, expressive color! Pet Portraits Acrylic Painting at Tri Arts Project is an exciting 2-session class for adults (Ages 16+) that challenges you to step outside conventional color and use bold, expressive brushwork to capture the values of light and shadow in your animal subject. Led by instructor Karen Defrates, you'll create your own vivid, one-of-a-kind pet portrait painting. All supplies included!

Open to all levels, this 2-session Wednesday evening course runs September 30 through October 7. All supplies are included — students just provide a photo of their pet and an 8.5"×11" black-and-white copy of that photo.

What You'll Create in This Pet Portrait Class

• Bold Color Decision-Making: Experiment with expressive, unconventional color choices that move beyond realism to create visually dynamic pet portraits.
• Animal Painting Techniques: Practice using the techniques and color skills developed in class to paint a compelling, finished portrait of your chosen animal.
