Cyndie Pierce

Cyndie’s grandmother was a lifelong quilter, creating not only quilts but also clothing and items for the church bazaar. Recognizing a shared passion for quilting, Cyndie decided to embrace the craft when the COVID-19 pandemic began. From 2020 to 2024, she completed over 40 quilts, finding the process to be a wonderful creative outlet. Cyndie loves quilting because it’s like working with a blank canvas—an opportunity to transform fabric into something beautiful. It allows for the design of patterns, the selection of colors, and the use of fabric imbued with personal memories or newly discovered materials that immediately sparked inspiration.

Fabrics function much like a painter’s palette, offering an array of colors, textures, and designs that enable endless creative expression. Through quilting, individuals can showcase their artistic vision and bring their ideas to life, as new patterns and ideas continuously emerge.

This class provides an opportunity to explore the world of quilting in depth, uncovering the joy it can bring to both the creator and their family. Each completed quilt serves as a source of pride and inspiration for the next project. Much like photographs, quilts become cherished family keepsakes, treasured for years to come.
